Telling the Story of Their Wedding Day at Château Canet

From the moment I arrived at Chateau Canet to start documenting Lizzie and Brad’s wedding day there was already a relaxed but amazing buzz in the air. I know they had celebrated the night before at the Chateau with their families and friends and knew those celebrations would continue immediately throughout the day. Next came a really personalised ceremony officiated by close friends with their families watching on.

Being a wedding photographer here in the South of France, I’m constantly surrounded by beautiful light and unforgettable sunsets. But this mid October sunset was truly special. We made sure to set aside just fifteen minutes for Lizzie and Brad to take a gentle stroll around the venue, giving them a chance to slow down and enjoy a quiet moment together. What’s better is that no moments were posed or forced. Just real connection, laughter, and beautiful golden light. This is my favourite way to photograph couples and is perfect for couples who may not feel overly comfortable in front of the camera or who do not want to spend a long time away from their guests but still want some beautiful memories to look at after the wedding.

Then came the party and what a party it was. After dinner, the celebrations turned into a full on karaoke hour (no really!) followed by a completely packed dancefloor that did not slow down for a second, the energy in the room was unreal. It was one of those nights where nobody wanted it to end, including me. I did not end up leaving until 11:30pm, and even then, the party was still in full swing.
